Gadget of the Week: LG’s Voyager

voyager.jpg

So you’ve been looking for a new phone, not just any phone but one that’ll attract the attention of your friends. You may not want to admit that you are an attention whore, but we all know it. LG’s Voyager may be exactly what you’re looking for. This phone has it all, instant messaging features like aim which is made easy on its excellent qwerty keypad. Need a phone with touchscreen? The voyager has a touchscreen on the external side and and a sweet looking interface on the internal screen. Like most phones nowadays it has bluetooth technology and a nice 2 mega pixel camera. It plays both wma and mp3 file types, I’d have to say the only bad part about this phone is that the video function is limited only to those willing to pay for V Cast Mobile TV. Honestly though, when you’re waiting in a massive line for a concert or venue, im sure you wont care that you spent a little extra cash to watch Scrubs (freaking awesome show might I add). All of this comes down to a realistic price of $300, Verizon has started pre-orders on there site here. This phone can be expanded by up to 8 gigabytes via a microSD card. Once again I’d like to say you’ve been owned again iPhone enthusiasts. I hate to say it, but as a sidekick wielding individual, this tops it as well.

So if you’ve miss it, this phone features:

  • 2.0 Megapixel Camera with Autofocus Camera & Camcorder
  • microSD memory port, up to 8GB
  • Dual Speakers for Stereo Sound
  • Bluetooth capabilities
  • V CAST Mobile TV
  • V CAST Music
  • V CAST Video
  • Large 2.81″ External Touch Screen
  • Large 2.81″ Internal LCD Screen
  • Music Player for MP3, WMA, AAC, & AAC+
  • HTML Web Browsing with Touch Navigation
  • Text, Picture, Video Messaging & Mobile IM.
  • and all the usual knick-knacks of normal phones
