Gadget of the Week: Wibrain’s B1 UMPC

wibrain-b1-umpc.jpg

This amazing piece of Korean hardware is Wibrain’s B1 UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC). It comes in two different models, the 30gb and 60gb. It boasts a 4.8 inch screen and a pretty easy to use key interface. It uses the actual Windows XP operating system and can support operating systems such as Linux or Unix. It’s better then the iPhone, or anything else you can think of. I know what you’re thinking, wouldn’t a laptop suffice? NO it will not. Carrying a laptop is fine for awhile, but it becomes a pain in the posterior to bring it everywhere you go the whole day. It also comes in a gray retro looking model, that is quite the gay. The previous prototype of this had a touch screen, which they may or may not have gotten rid of. Searching the web, having a video chat, talking on aim, listening to music, playing computer games, using Microsoft Office to finish homework on the way to school, the possibilities are endless. This comes with a hefty price tag of $650-$750 for the 60gb, but what doesn’t these days.
